a 25th anniversary vow renewal

FILED IN: real celebrations

Rachel & Amber met in college as a cis-gendered, heterosexual couple, and decided they were meant to be together ~ getting married when they were 20 years old. 25 years, and 2 kids later, Amber had transitioned to her true self, and the couple decided to celebrate their love, their shared growth and change over the years, and their anniversary in the style of a wedding for their true identities. The celebration at Madison's Olin Park Pavilion, focused on telling their beautiful love story, and also sharing in the joy of the queer community.

They focused moments of their ceremony on inviting community members to come up and contributed flowers from Cosmic Gardens, to collected vases; each with a little love note, joke, memory, or piece of advice written on it. They had a combination catered dinner from Tex Tubb's Taco Palace, & potluck, with a cake from Rachel's place of work, Madison Chocolate Company

After a joyful sharing of stories, the couple danced the night away with friends & family. I am so grateful to have been part of such a beautiful celebration of love, growth, and the true spirit of a supporting and loving community.

Beautiful photography was captured by Sam from Dutcher Photography, and the stationery, planning, and design were put together by Sophia from Forsythia Events.
